Alex Zapata specializes in fly fishing for Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon, Redfish, Snook and Sharks in the beautiful and rich flats of the Florida Keys. Fly fishing is his favorite way of fishing, and he will give you the necessary instruction and coaching to accomplish your goals according to your level of expertise. You should employ plenty of time practicing before your charter. Let’s face it, The fish in the Keys are challenging, big and spooky. Whoever told you the opposite is not being honest. You need to bring your “A game” in order to be successful. Practice, practice, practice – before your charter.

Itinerary:

  • 11:30 AM Arrive at Black Point marina
  • 11:45 AM Guide introduction and day overview
  • 12:15 PM Depart marina and begin fly fishing flats
  • 5:00 PM return to Black Point Marina

Included:

  • Fishing guide and Boat Captain
  • All fly fishing gear
  • Boat, fuel, and other marina charges

Please Bring:

  • Anything you want to eat or drink during the day (cooler onboard)
  • Appropriate clothing and sun protection

Bay Boat Fee

  • You are being charged a fee in case the larger boat is needed due to weather. If the Bay boat is not needed, you will be refunded $200 after your trip is complete.

Twenty- one of the current thirty-eight IGFA world records are for bonefish caught in Biscayne Bay & the Upper Florida Keys. Biscayne Bay is the largest estuary on the coast of southeast Florida and is contiguous with the southern Florida Everglades and Florida Bay. It encompasses a marine ecosystem that totals approximately 428 square miles. Its drainage area is 938 square miles, of which 350 are freshwater and coastal wetlands in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties.
