We are putting on an experience that you can not buy unless you get it here! Our goal is to connect you with new friends to hunt with and have the best experience in the field. This is Erin’s ideal day in the field with her favorite upland guide, Corinna Peters, and professional outdoor photographer and gentlemen, Chris Dowell, who will be capturing all the most epic moments of the hunt. You will have access to these photos for your personal use! 

After we work off our nervousness by shooting some clays, we will enjoy a delicious lunch by Erin’s good friend Lea who provides upscale catering to outdoors gathering such as this! Corinna will guide us through some upland technique and tricks so everyone is comfortable in the field together. If this hunt books over 4 people, we will be adding another guide, Sarah Cousins, and separate into two groups so everyone has dogs to kick up birds for them. Each gal will have 5 pheasants (roosters and hens) planted in the field and there will most likely be birds in the field from the hunt before that are fair game! We will circle back up at the end of the day for photographs, to tip your guide, to exchange information with your new hunting buddies, and say goodbye until next time!

Requirements:
You will need to be comfortable with using a shotgun to safely hunt around dogs. Bring your shotgun and two boxes of 6 shot or smaller. Your hunter safety certification. Small game license for Colorado. Ear protection. Eye protection. Blaze orange hat and vest. A positive attitude. Plenty of high fives. No drugs or alcohol.

Pheasant Field Day

### Premier Pheasant Hunting in America

Located in the heart of some of the best pheasant hunting in the world, this hunt takes place over 20,000 acres of prime hunting habitat in South Dakota. Just a short drive south of Aberdeen, this is the pheasant hunt of a lifetime!  And as an added bonus, we include duck hunting during non-pheasant hunting hours (duck tags are necessary, see below).

With highly trained guides and dogs, you will hunt some of the best fields, sloughs, tree lines and food plots in the USA. Staff is available at all times to make your South Dakota pheasant hunt experience as comfortable and memorable as possible. The cooking is homemade, and the people are friendly.  It's guaranteed that you will leave with a cooler full of birds and wonderful memories.

With so many acres to hunt, you don’t have to worry whether you will hunt the same walk twice during your stay. Rest assured, you will not be hunting heavily pressured fields as the hunting land is very carefully managed. Day time temperatures this time of year can range greatly each day so it is important to bring the proper gear. Expect temperatures to vary from 10 degrees to 60 degrees during your stay.

**Waterfowl draw information:** If you don’t have any preference points in South Dakota, apply as a Group.  Group Application can take up to 6 applicants.  If you have more than 6 hunters, set up 2 groups.  By applying as a group, if one person in the group gets drawn, all the people in that group will be drawn.  When filling out the the application, your First Choice should be NRW-00B-86 (Statewide), and your Second Choice should be NRW-00Y-86. 



South Dakota Pheasant and Duck Hunt

Come help us control the Prarie dog population that is hurting crops and wreaking havoc on the nutrition of our land.  These disruptive species make it difficult for other animals in the ecosystem to flourish.

Prarie Dog Hunt

Begin your outdoor climbing experience by summiting some of Colorado's front countries most famous landmarks, the Flat Irons in Boulder.  A quick hike and then we'll learn the basics of climbing single pitch, top rope.

South Dakota Pheasant Hunt

Depending on your level of experience, we'll either go with the basics of climbing or take on one of the more challenging routes at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  The Garden of the Gods is one of the premier landmarks in Colorado, and there is nothing quite like looking over the Centennial State with Pike's Peak as your backdrop atop of sandstone and limestone spires. 

Climbing Garden of the Gods

Come learn the basics of Ice Climbing or practice advance techniques on some of the best Ice climbing in the front range of Colorado.  After a 45 minute hike, you'll have access to legendary ice and a variety of shapes, routes, and experiences.

Lincoln Falls Ice Climbing

A successful ascent of Mt. Baker can serve as an introduction to glaciated mountain climbing or as a stand alone climbing trip for those with previous experience. The moderate slopes of the Eastman Glacier Route provide an excellent training ground for skills practice and a foundation of general mountaineering experience. It is one of the classic North American climbs and is superb mountain terrain for developing or refreshing mountaineering/glacier travel skills. The summit of Mt. Baker is 10,781’ (3286m) above sea level, making it the 3rd tallest peak in Washington State.  Your trip begins in Seattle, Washington USA.

## Itinerary
- _Day 1_: Our team will meet at the Sedro Woolley Ranger Station parking lot for an orientation and gear check. Transportation to the Schrieber’s Meadow Trailhead will be via carpool. Well before your trip, we will share contact details of the group to facilitate shared rides from Seattle onward. We will trek on trail through temperate rainforest and reach the Railroad Grade Moraine and make camp at Sandy Camp at 5500 feet or higher (approximately a 4 hour hike to camp.)

- _Day 2_: Will consist of instruction on mountaineering skills important to safely ascend the mountain. Topics will include; climbing knots, crampon footwork, harnesses, ice axe, self arrest, and rope team travel skills.

- _Day 3_: A pre-dawn alpine start to climb to the summit. The climb takes on average 8 hours to the summit and back to high camp. After a short rest to rehydrate, eat and pack camp, we’ll descend to the trailhead for the end of the program in the mid to late afternoon.

Climb Mt. Baker (Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate)

This is a guided hog hunt with thermal optics for up to two hunters.

My Trip

Hike this iconic Colorado loop trail around the Maroon Bells including 4 12,000ft+ passes and 26.6 miles of Colorado wilderness.  This is a great way to get introduced to backpacking and backcountry camping.  All camping equipment, food & drinks are provided.  Just bring your personal gear (a list will be sent upon booking) and an interest in the grind that comes with the pursuit of outdoor adventure.

Four Pass Loop Intro to Backpacking

Enjoy one of the best shore dives on the east coast .  Blue Heron bridge is a great place to practice your scuba or to check off a bucket list beach dive.  If you don't have the time/desire to do a full half day scuba to one of Floridas many reefs, this gives you the chance to get in the water and out within 2 hours of high tide.

Cenotes Freediving  and Lifestyle

Harvest.  The full cycle of life.  Providing.  Preparing.  Some plant or animal must die so you might live.  Gratitude for land and animals. A dazzling burst of color before the cold and the dark settles in. This is what you'll contemplate while spending 4 full days and 3 comfortable nights at Wolfcrow's Autumn session.  For those with their Hunter Education certificate and who apply for permits (we can assist if needed), there is a deer hunt available.  For those interested in simply getting a hunters eye view, tag along as the group works to harvest and forage for it's meals.  Autumn at Wolfcrow is about what the natural world can provide us if we take the time to learn, listen, and look.  It's a time of transition, preparation, and connecting to the life and the death around us.

Wolcrow - Summer

Spring. New growth. The first splash of color on a blank canvas.  It's a season of rapid change, new expression, and pushing out into the fresh unknown.  Take inspiration from the wild blooms and the awakening forest of Wolfcrow as you explore the creative process and how our nature teaches us create.  All skill levels and talents are welcome.  From seasoned professionals looking for new inspiration, to those who have always felt the need to begin creating.  This weekend retreat is about using the world around you to make something that's beautiful and tangible.  Guests will follow 1 of 3 creative tracts depending on their interests.  **Visual** (think paintings, sketches, sculptures etc.), **Audio** (think instruments, bands, signing, poems, books, or spoken/written words), or **Lens** (think photography, videography) all of which will be on full display during a culminating barn celebration.  Tracts will rotate between physical areas to help get the creative energy flowing and allow participants to take inspiration for different venues and activities.  These venues include: Katrina woods, the Barn, the Tarn pool, or Wolfcrow house.

#### **Fly Fishing** ###

- During Tract sessions 2&3 a guide will be available to take those who are interested fly fishing around Wolf Crow.  Participants may fish at any time on their own.  People may go as a group or individually, and sign ups will occur during the fly tying/casting lesson

- An additional, private Fly Fishing lesson can be purchased for $400 (must be purchased ahead of time)
- ATV rides can be purchased for $75/hour
- Fly fishing equipment rental $100/weekend (rod setup and flies)

Wolfcrow - Spring

A successful ascent of Mt. Baker can serve as an introduction to glaciated mountain climbing or as a stand alone climbing trip for those with previous experience. The moderate slopes of the Eastman Glacier Route provide an excellent training ground for skills practice and a foundation of general mountaineering experience. It is one of the classic North American climbs and is superb mountain terrain for developing or refreshing mountaineering/glacier travel skills. The summit of Mt. Baker is 10,781’ (3286m) above sea level, making it the 3rd tallest peak in Washington State.

Though not as massive as Mt. Rainier, it is a true big mountain of the North Cascades that rises from the surrounding landscape rather dramatically so it is exposed to all the usual weather changes one would expect on a mountain of such height.

Introduction to Ice Climbing

Winter wonderlands can provide some of the most perfect lighting and dramatic backdrops for your photos.  It can also cause for frustration as your lenses freeze, your settings aren't correct, your batteries drain, or you're not quite sure how to get to the exact spot you're looking for.  We'll go over all of this and more as we snowshoe a mile or two into the backcountry .

Basics of Backcountry Winter Photography

Whether it's apres ski, a bucket list item, or something you never knew you wanted to try, there is nothing quite like heading into a snow covered forest at nighttime.   With hot chocolate in tow, we'll head out on an hour hike and spend thirty minutes to an hour going through the different constellations and planets.

Louisiana Bayou Tour & Crawfish Boil

Your guides will help you catch salmon, spearfish for [INSERT SPEAR-ABLE SPECIES] forage for wild mushrooms, set crab traps, or patrol the coastline for oysters, muscles and other tide pool treats.  After a day of harvesting, a private chef will join you at your home to prepare the days bounty.  The full itinerary will be set up based upon your interest, cravings, and what's in season.  This trip is specifically tailored for guests staying at the Wander house in the Bandon or Port Orford locations.  Once you book the trip, we'll work with you to design exactly what you're looking for.  Staying at a Wander house gives you the chance to live every day life in remarkable locations. Spend the morning catching whatever is in season followed by harvesting the legendary California Abalone.  After a day out in the wild, head back to your Wander home where a member of the NOYO center for Marine science will join you to talk about the ecosystems, successes, challenges, and efforts going on in the environment around you.  While you get to pick the brain of the areas best naturalists, a private chef will whip up whatever it is you caught during the day.

Fly fishing is his favorite way of fishing, and he will give you the necessary instruction and coaching to accomplish your goals according to your level of expertise.  You should employ plenty of time practicing before your charter. Let’s face it, The fish in the Keys are challenging, big and spooky. Whoever told you the opposite is not being honest. You need to bring your “A game” in order to be successful. Practice, practice, practice – before your charter.
