Explore the Colorado backcountry just a few hours from Denver.  We'll head to Fremont Pass and ski gorgeous (and not too difficult glades).  If you're a beginner, I'll teach you the basics and if you're an experienced backcountry skier, the day can be as mild or strenuous as we like.

Whether you want to learn the basics of fly fishing or just explore a new river, we'll head out to the Blue River for a great afternoon.

Learn how to safely and effectively use your backcountry safety gear (beacon, shovel, and probe). We'll also go over the basics of safe route-finding and enjoy a lap or two in the process.

## Immerse yourself in the American West 
Experience a working cattle ranch first hand. Come home with dirt on your boots, satisfied after a day's work in the field. Understand where your food comes from and the people dedicating their lives to feeding you. Learn about life on the open range.

You'll spend a morning on a working, family-run cattle ranch in Colorado's beautiful eastern plains.  Grab your boots, hat, and jump in.  You'll work alongside cowboys and ranch hands:
- tagging cattle 
- giving vaccinations 
- helping with branding
- watching the ranchers ride and rope
- learning about what it takes to grow grasslands and raise healthy herds

You'll end your experience with a well-earned lunch straight from the ranch.

You will leave with Toby Keith's "Should Have Been a Cowboy" on repeat in your head and a sense of nostalgia next time you pull on your Wranglers.

Flying Diamond Ranch Experience

Complete the cycling rite of passage. Lookout Mountain is just over a 4.5-mile climb and 1200+ feet of elevation gain to the summit. The route can be intimidating but it's well worth it!

Lookout Mountain Ride

We'll meet in Empire and ski the beautiful Jones Pass.  It's friendly for all levels so we can select the type of adventure we're looking for that day.  You must provide your own avalanche gear. 

Intermediate Backcountry Ski Morning

Have you always wanted to learn how to telemark ski?!  Now's your chance.  I'll teach you the basics--on the resort or in the backcountry.  Be prepared for a thigh burn!
