Sun Valley Heliski

**February 11-13**

Come join Sun Valley Heli Ski for 3 days and 2 nights of helicopter skiing and riding  in  Idaho's Smoky, Pioneer, Soldier, and Boulder Mountain Ranges while learning and expanding  your backcountry skills and knowledge.   Guests will stay at the beautiful Smoky Mountain Lodge, the only remote fly-in  lodge in the lower 48 states.    You'll spend your days skiing the legendary Idaho backcountry while learning basic backcountry, snowpack and avalanche skills.  Separate clinics will be held in the evenings to review and enhance those skills.   A private chef will prepare breakfasts and dinner, and lunch with be taken care of in the field with a view to help fuel those afternoon sessions.

Sun Valley Heli Ski’s Permit with the US Forest Service for 750,000 square acres gives it exclusive helicopter access to a massive playground with spectacular terrain that is by far the largest in the lower 48. SVHS was the first helicopter ski operator in the lower 48 states, starting operations in 1965.  Its 50 plus years of operating provides its guides with extensive knowledge of its huge terrain.   You will experience the intimacy of SVHS's 4 passenger A Star B-3, the unquestioned king of helicopters for helicopter skiing. Sun Valley Heli also provides Mammut Avalanche Airbags and Transceivers to all its guests.

### Requirements:
Skiers should be at least strong intermediates who are proficient and confident in their skills and have powder skiing experience.

#### Day 1:
- 8:00 AM Arrive at headquarters at Sun Valley Heli Ski's Headquarters at the Sun Valley Gun Club
- 8:30 AM Helicopter, avalanche, and backcountry skiing safety presentation
- 9:30 AM Group 1 departs for the field
- 10:00 AM Group 2 departs for the field
- 12:00-1:00:  Both groups enjoy lunch in the field
- 3:00-4:30 PM:   Both groups reconvene  at Smoky Mountain Lodge
- 5:00-6:00 PM:  Avalanche and Backcountry Skills Clinic
 - 6:00-?:  Dinner and free time

#### Day 2:
- 8:00 AM Breakfast
- 8:30 AM Prepare for heliski adventure
- 9:30 AM Group 1 departs for the field
- 10:00 AM Group 2 departs for the field
- 12:00-1:00:  Both groups enjoy lunch in the field
- 3:00-4:30 PM:   Both groups reconvene  at Smoky Mountain Lodge
- 5:00-6:00 PM:  Avalanche and Backcountry Skills Clinic
 - 6:00-?:  Dinner and free time

#### Day 3:

- 8:00 AM Breakfast
- 8:30 AM Prepare for Heliski adventure
- 9:30 AM Group 1 departs for the field
- 10:00 AM Group 2 departs for the field
- 12:00-1:00:  Both groups enjoy lunch in the field
- 3:00-4:30 PM:   Both groups depart the field and arrive back at Sun Valley Heli Ski's headquarters

### Deposit
A $5,000 deposit is due upon booking with completion of payment made 45 days prior to scheduled arrival.  If you make your reservation within 45 days of your scheduled arrival, the entire purchase price will be charged.
